Mon 05, 2023
In early November 2025, our Green Roof Indonesia team, together with PT. Dhanar Mas Concern proudly celebrated the completion of a 4.5 MWp solar system in Banjaran, West Java - a remarkable milestone in accelerating Indonesia’s energy transition.
Completed with a rapid speed of construction in just 5 months, the system will:
⚡Generate 6,600 MWh of clean electricity every year
🏭 Provide the factory with approximately 15% dependable and renewable energy
🌍 Reduce 5,500 tons of CO2 annually, equivalent to planting 200,000 mature trees.

The event was further enriched by the attendance of representatives from the EU Delegation and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, as well as the insightful testimonials shared by our distinguished guests:
From the Netherlands Embassy - Mr. Thorsten Roobeek:
“The Netherlands and Indonesia are both signatories of the Paris Climate agreement and are cooperating on the way to net-zero. Via our government contribution to Climate Fund Managers we support the implementation and acceleration of the energy transition around the world. We are happy to see the private-public partnership in action to build a greener world. It was great to see the green ambition of PT. Dhanar Mas Concern and how the cooperation with Green Roof Indonesia helps to realise it. We hope there are many more projects that will follow.”
From the EU Delegation for Indonesia - Ms. Shanaz Patel:
“The commissioning of this 4.5 MW rooftop solar facility shows how Indonesian industry is already adjusting to evolving market demands. By turning unused roof space into clean energy, PT. Dhanar Mas Concern, a leading textile manufacturer, strengthens its competitiveness, cuts emissions, and meets the sustainability expectations of global buyers. Through 🇪🇺 Global Gateway, #TeamEurope – partners with Green Roof and Climate Fund Managers – in support of Indonesia’s shift toward a more efficient, resilient, and future-ready economy.”
From our client – Mr. Tanziel Inderamufti - GM Engineering of Dhanar Mas Group:
“Through this solar project, we are turning our vision of sustainable growth into action – shaping a cleaner future for industry and society.”
This project demonstrates how renewable energy can be smoothly integrated into industrial operations, driving long-term value by ensuring cost efficiency, strengthening ESG performance, and positioning our client at the forefront of Indonesia’s energy transition.
To further emphasize our commitment, Mr. Eduardus Pandik - Country Director of Green Roof Indonesia added:
“This rooftop solar project shows what happens when major industry players boldly embrace the shift toward sustainable energy, supported by a regulation landscape that keeps moving in the right direction. Now is the moment to further refine the quota system so more manufacturers can follow, scale confidently, and power Indonesia’s next chapter of sustainable growth.”

We extend our sincere thanks to the esteemed partners for your trust and collaboration. Delivering this system on time and safely reflects the strength of our partnership and our shared dedication to a greener future.
